35 Windswept Lane, Storrs, Connecticut

A tribute to Yankee ingenuity

A Renaissance of 20th Century Architecture

Embellished with 21st Century Technology

The first of five unique planned structures styled after classical 19th and 20th Century homes has been completed after 18 months of construction. This first home is fashioned after a 1925 Baltimore Maryland style estate home. Thirty-five Windswept Lane is an address no one visiting will soon forget. The finished product exhibits the artisanship and craftsmanship reminiscent of the finer estate homes and mansions built during the 1910 – 1930 eras and virtually absent from home construction for nearly 80 years. This home was designed and constructed with 21st Century technology with many outstanding features, which include heated stone floors for comfort, generator back-up, a home audio system that stores over 6 months of continuous music and Viking appliances to name a very few. A Geothermal (geo-exchange) environmental system is at its core.

This high tech environmental system goes well beyond mere temperature regulation to control relative humidity and air quality; heat recovery ventilation brings fresh air into the home 24/7 to create the healthiest environment possible using absolutely no fossil fuels. In addition electronic air cleaners were installed to remove over 99.9% of all airborne allergens. The result is an indoor environment likened to a spring day on a mountaintop, a safe haven for those with respiratory sensitivities.
